Success! CA Re-Accredited by BANKSETA Again! Print

February 2010

Compuscan Academy has been re-accredited for the next five years by the Education and Training Quality Assurance (ETQA) body of the Banking Sector Education and Training Authority (BANKSETA). Our accreditation with BANKSETA enables us to deliver national qualifications and various registered skills programmes and short courses for the credit and corporate industry. Without it, our course would be of no value to credit and corporate professionals!

Our new accreditation number is ETQA – 557033 and as of, {Date of Accreditation}. we are certified to fulfil the functions of an education and training provider as contemplated in Regulation 13 of the ETQA Regulations of 1998.

You may ask how do one get accreditation and why is it important? Well, the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) requires that the Certification of Accreditation is issued in terms of the ETQA established by Act No. 58 of 1995.

Members of SAQA are appointed by the Minister of Education after consultation with the Minister of Labour. Their role is to advance the objectives of the National Qualitifcations Framework (NQF), oversee further development and co-ordinate the sub-frameworks. The NQF is a comprehensive system approved by the Minister of Education for the incorporation of national qualifications.

We are committed to promoting the spirit and intent of the SAQA and the NQF and our accreditation with BANKSETA means that all our programmes are aligned to the applicable standards and the principles of outcomes-based education and training.

It also constitutes that Compuscan Academy belongs to a defined organisation and that we have the applied competence and ability to put into practice the relevant learning outcomes acquired in obtaining a national qualification.
