We wish Monique a fond farewell and a hearty hello to Marco. Monique Roos has been a valuable member of the team and we wish her all the best. Marco Hartogh is our new course developer who joined our team on the 22 February 2010. We would also like to extend him a warm welcome as a valuable contribution to our growing team. Marco has a diploma in theology and he is a qualified assessor He is currently completing his certificate to become an Occupation Directed Education Practioner (to be completed by May 2010).

His daily tasks at Compuscan Academy involve performing research and developing new learning programmes. In due time and with experience he too will develop the necessary skills to facilitate learning. He enjoys public speaking and is involved in community organisations, speaking to crowds of 500 people. He is a charismatic and outgoing person who sets goals for himself to achieve. He looks forward to meeting new acquaintances and learners’ and keeping the training real by speaking at the right level.

Marco was previously employed at Metropolitan Health Group as a course development for five years. Coming from the medical aid industry, the credit industry is a new challenge that he is ready to tackle. His philosophy is to make things happen and always to look for opportunities to grow and improve himself. He has learnt that before one complains, to think about possible solutions and the steps to take to address it to make a difference.

When Marco started at Compuscan Academy, he attended a workshop conducted by The Gray Training Team in Stellenbosch on how to write for business that meets our quality standards. He enjoyed the training and had this to say to help him become a better developer:

“It helped me communicate via written means and become more productive and competent in the workplace. It will also stand me in good stead as I aspire to be the author of many successful books”.
