OUR TRACK RECORD OF RESULTS
- We participated in the Micro Lenders Association’s (now MicroFinance SA) Sector Skills Research Project (2003/2004).
- We participated in the Micro Finance Institution’s Responsible Lending Workshops launched in 2004 (BANKSETA Funded).
- We participated in the Authenticated Early Debit Order System (AEDOS) Training Programme of MicroFinance SA.
- We participated in the Debt Counsellor Training Initiative of the NCR. (2007/2008).
- Teba Bank - Conducted a Skills Needs Analysis and Research for Customised Training. We designed, developed and implemented a Credit Management Programme consisting of three accredited training modules. Conducted train-the-trainer sessions to enable internal trainers to conduct the training in-house. Maintain and manage their Learner Database, Assessment and Certification.
- Capitec Bank - Identified together with Capitec the different areas of training required. Designed and developed 4 Credit Training Modules to address their specific skills needs. Implementation of Modules: Facilitation, Assessment & Certification.
- Woolworths - Based on their need to understand the impact of Debt Counselling (as instituted by the NCA) on the Debt Collections process, we designed and developed a customised training module for Debt Collection Agents.
- Lewis Stores - Designed and developed customised training material to train their credit underwriters on the National Credit Act.
- BANKSETA Skills Audit - Successfully completed the BANKSETA’s ‘Industry Skills Research Project’ in collaboration with Kheta Consulting during 2007. (Interviewed 391 MFI’s nationally).
- BANKSETA Training Voucher Projects – Since 2005, we have participated in the training voucher projects of the BANKSETA aimed at SME’s who through the project are able to apply for funded skills training.
- We were awarded a national tender by the BANKSETA to develop and conduct life long learning workshops on the National Credit Act where 417 learners attended the training.
- We have ventured to Nigeria and Zambia to train the credit staff of Blue Financial Services on ‘An Introduction to Credit Management’ and ‘Credit Assessment Practices and Methodologies.’
- In collaboration with SWISS CONTACT, we conducted training for Business Development and Service Providers (BDSP’s), i.e. the intermediaries between SME’s and Financial Institutions, on credit scoring and assessment to enable them to assess the credit risk of a SME.
- We have been approved for a grant from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Commonwealth Secretariat to train SME’s in Financially Literacy as a means to assist them to manage their personal and business finances effectively thereby promoting their access to credit from formal financial institutions.
