Who will benefit from this learnership?

This qualification will enable learners to access a formal national qualification in debt recovery and to meet the need for skilled professionals to carry out these functions in this business sector, within larger corporations and the SMME (Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise) sector. Learners will gain knowledge and skills in ethics and personal effectiveness surrounding debt recovery, the application of the legalities in the liquidation of debt, the management of debtor and credit grantor portfolios and the facilitation of oral and written communications in order to effectively administer debt recovery. Other components include supervisory/management skills, administration, information technology, accounting and financial management.

Learners will be equipped to meet the standards of service excellence required within the debt recovery field of learning by learning day-to-day skills and operational competencies required within the business and commercial sectors.

  • Use oral and written communications for the purposes of effectively administering debt recovery
  • Apply personal effectiveness within the debt recovery context

  • Accounting Practices in Debt Collection

  • Basic Budgeting in a Debt Recovery Business Unit

*Learners in possession of a valid, certified Grade 12 certificate with mathematics and a language can obtain exemption from completing these modules.
